L`autodromo del Mugello (Italy)

8 April 2014

The Second round of the BOSS GP Series wasnt’t particularly well. After a testing day on thursday we were very good prepared for the race weekend. In the first free practice Jakub secured the 3-rd place and he kept it also in the qualifying. With this good result we had high hopes for the races because we knew that the race pace of Kuba was very good. Unfortunately after the start, the poleman Gary Hauser blocked our driver and he was overtaken by his two strongest opponents for the championship lead so far- Bernd Herndlhofer and Johann Ledermaier. After a few laps Ingo Gerstl had to retire due to an technical malfunction so everybody moved up one position. Kuba was fighting the whole time to improve his position but all his manouvers lacked this “final touch” and he finished in fourth. The second race was much better. He entered the race in the fourth place, but after the first corner he was already third. In the next few laps he fought to improve his position. After a beatiful overtaking manouvre he finally made it. The race was stopped 5 minutes before the end because of an oil spill in the track and didn’t restart. Gary Hauser was too fast this weekend but we are happy with the second position in race 2. We look forward already to Red Bull Ring where we expect a hard and entertaining battle for the win.
