Le Mans VdeV (France)

25 May 2016

The time has come for the second race of the VdeV series. Once again behind the wheel where Martin Hippe and Jakub Śmiechowski. After bad luck in England we were starving for a good result. Free practices revealed the potential of our crew and our will to fight for the highest positions. The qualifying went excellent, our drivers put the car on the first place amongst the LMP3 cars and fifth overall. The tactic for the race was very simple. Kuba drives 2 hours on the beginning, then Martin takes over and goes till the end. The weather put in a little something in the mix as well. Occasional showers made the race very difficult and the safety car had to go out on track five times. When Kuba handed over the wheel we were second overall. Martin did what he could to catch the leading car, but it proved to be impossible this weekend. Over 100 horsepower is sometimes hard to compensate… We managed to win in the LMP3 category and finished second overall! Although on paper we have now a 3 week break, we will spend this time on hard work so that the car is perfectly prepared for the second round of ELMS in Imola.
