Everything is still possible

24 October 2018

This weekend (27/28 October) at Portimao (Portugal) in the last race of the European Le Mans Series, the Inter Europol Competition Team has one more chance to gain as many points as possible to finish higher than where the team finished in 2017; in fifth place. Only 1,5 points separates the team from the number four and only 7,5 from third. Everything is still possible.

Last year at Portimoa the team saw its chance to move into the top three disappear when just into the second hour of the race, Kuba Smiechowski had to put his car next to the track with no more drive.

Kuba Smiechowski:“I hope we had our bad luck at Spa and will have another top six finish in Portimao. We are looking a bit better than last year. Martin Hippe and I will give it our best to finish on the podium. We know this is possible and it would be such great way to end the season for the team.”

Martin Hippe:“Everything is still possible and I really want to finish higher than last year.         That would be so fantastic for the whole team. Everybody worked so hard this year. It will also give us a boost for the start of our Asian Le Mans Series adventure.”

The #14 LMP3 will be raced this weekend by Paul Scheuschner and Moritz Müller-Crepon and they will go for a top 10 finish.

Paul Scheuschner:“I know we can finish in the top 10 and with Moritz anything is possible. I learn a lot from him and I feel we make a really good team together.”

Moritz Müller-Crepon:“It is going to be my fifth race with the team and I feel completely at home with them. Together with Paul, I think we can go for the best result this season.”
