Another teammate for Smiechowski
13 July 2017
The team is on its way to Zolder for their third race in the GT&Prototype Challenge powered by Hankook, with just one of their LMP3s. The #203 LMP3 this weekend (14 ? 16 July 2017) will be shared by Kuba Smiechowski and young German talent Christopher Dreyspring (1998).
Smiechowski is in second place in the championship, 13 points behind the leader. So far he has shared the car with Wolfgang Jordan at Zandvoort, had no teammate at Spa and now will share the car with Dreyspring. Dreyspring has been racing karts since 2008 and this year started in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. He was invited into the Lamborghini Young Driver program and is now in second place in the Pro-Am of the championship.
Kuba Smiechowski: ?I am happy to have Dreyspring as my teammate. The GT&P Challenge races were a late addition to the season so my teammate will change from race to race. It is a possibility for the team to give drivers of all ages a chance to drive the LMP3 and to show it is an easy car to drive. I like Zolder, it?s a bit of an oldfashioned track with little run-off areas, so every mistake can cost a lot. It has been a few years since I have been here but I am eager to return. It will be very hard to overtake here so good qualifying is key. And oh yes, and I like the Belgium fries and waffles.?
