Inter Europol Competition delivered an outstanding qualifying performance at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with the #34 LMP2 entry securing pole position and strong results across all classes in a successful day for the team.

Reshad de Gerus put the #34 LMP2 car on pole with a commanding lap of 1:28.368, continuing his strong record of pole positions in ELMS. His performance set the benchmark in a competitive session and placed the team firmly at the front of the field.

The sister #43 LMP2 entry, driven by Tom Dillmann, qualified P3, securing a second-row start and placing both cars in strong positions heading into the race.

In LMP3, Henry Cubides Olarte continued the team’s strong form by securing P2 in class, locking in a front-row start and completing a positive qualifying for Inter Europol Competition.

The results underline the team’s pace and consistency across both categories, with all three entries well placed to challenge at the front.

The European Le Mans Series race gets underway tomorrow at 12:00 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

QUOTES

Reshad De Gerus:
“It’s great to start the season with pole position. We’ve worked really hard since the Prologue to achieve what we wanted, and today everything came together, so it’s a great start. I’m really happy and proud of the result. Now the focus is on tomorrow, as that’s what matters most, but we’ve shown the car has strong pace — both cars are fast — so let’s see what we can do in the race with Bijoy.”
