During some test days at Portimao (Portugal), the Inter Europol Competition team was proud to have a famous Polish legend driving their Ligier JS P320. European Rally champion, WRC participant, multiple Polish Rally champion, Dakar participant Krzysztof Hołowczyc took the wheel of one of the team’s green and yellow LMP3s. This year, the 59-year old Hołowczyc won the FIA European Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.

Krzysztof Hołowczyc: “It was a great pleasure for me to have tested with the Inter Europol Competition team. The rallies in which I participate are a completely different world! In circuit-racing, there is no place for sideways or other improvisation. The LMP3 is a very serious race car and after a dozen or so laps, in order for me to be fast, I would need a lot of time in the car and deeper analysis of my runs with the engineer. It is not so simple. And I was positively surprised that we in Poland have an international team that participates on the highest level in endurance racing and often finishes on the podium. That makes me proud!”

There aren’t many drivers who have competed in WRC, Dakar, the Cross-Country Bajas and endurance racing. Krzysztof Hołowczyc does not exclude such a possibility, but only time will tell.
