Victory for Inter Europol Competition in the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring

17 March 2025

Inter Europol claimed LMP2 class victory in the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring with a perfectly executed race sending a strong message to its title rivals that they are back even stronger to defend their IMSA Weathertech Championship.
The 12 hour race which runs from daylight into darkness is notoriously tough to crack, with the punishing concrete paving and relentless bumps providing a stern challenge for both car and drivers. But the Team were more than a match for the challenge, delivering a perfect performance, staying in contention and on the lead lap throughout, and timing a move for the lead late into the final hour to take a well deserved win at the Florida venue.

After the disappointment of a non-finish at the opening round in Daytona the Team are now firmly back in the 2025 Championship race.

Fielding a revised driver lineup with the introduction of Bronze rated driver, Jeremy Clarke, who joined season regulars, Bijoy Garg and Tom Dillmann, the result was extra sweet as Clarke was making his IMSA debut after just a handful of starts in the LMP2 category.

After an unfortunate spin during the “Bronze only” qualifying session that preceded the race on the Friday, Jeremy showed great tenacity to deliver a solid race and keep the car in contention before handing over the driving duties to Bijoy and Tom who built on the solid start, keeping clear of trouble whilst those around them faltered. Increasing the pace to pressure the competition with Tom taking the lead in the final stretch, following a costly mistake by the then leading Crowdstrike by APR car.

Team Quotes

Tom Dillmann

“Really great feeling to win such an iconic race. I had pictured that bounce back in my dreams after Daytona and we did it! The race went as planned. We took care of the car for the first 10 hours while staying in the lead group before attacking when it matters. Thank you to the whole team and my teammates for the perfect execution.”

Jeremy Clarke

“I couldn’t have asked for a better way to join the team. It was an absolute team effort and I am very proud to be part of this historic race win and excited to see what we can do next”

Bijoy Garg

“Amazing to win the 12 Hours of Sebring! We knew we had a fast car, we just needed to survive and keep the car in one piece for the night, which we did. Great execution from the team, and both Jeremy and Tom did a fantastic job throughout the weekend.  This was an ideal way to bounce back from Daytona, and hopefully we can get some more trophies in the coming races!”
