Monza Autodromo (Italy)

After several testing days the race weekend had come. It was the first race for David Richert as a member of our team. Sadly it didn’t start perfectly: a mechanical malfunction ruled David out of the second free practice already on the first lap. Despite out hard work and good will the mechanics were unable to repair it for the qualifying sessions on the afternoon. Our driver was forced to start from the back of the field since he didn’t complete any timed lap. But he didn’t give up and showed his fighting spirit. He entered the race in the 32-nd position but he took advantage of every chance that he saw and finished in a great 20-th place which by the way was the last position awarded with points. The second race proceeded in a similar fashion. This time he reached “only” the 23-rd position but in our opinion it was a much better race for him because he showed a great improvement in the pace during the race. We are very curious how this weekend would have ended if not for the technical issue because David was faster and faster with every time he went out on the track. But this type of coincidence is an inseperable part of motorsport. Nevertheless we are very proud of our driver who was able to get a good result despite of the unfortunate circumstances.
