The penultimate round of the series VdeV was held at Magny-Cours. The track is very technically demanding. Our competitors had a large advantage in the form of a number of kilometers driven on this track (headquarters of their team are close to the track). Time trial made us realize how much we are missing to the forefront. We took only fifth place. We were hoping to gain a few positions during the race, regardless of how good is our pace on long distances. Kuba Śmiechowski started the race. After a big accident on the first lap Safety Car came out. Few minutes later the race was resumed and after couple of laps we were leading in our class, steadily moving away from opponents. In the middle distance there was a change of drivers. Martin Hippe was doing great. At one point we were in first place in the general classification. But in the last hour we lost the lead to Ginetty, which is a car with a separate classification from ours. The final half hour was very stressful. We watched as the N’race team car approached us. Martin, however, withstood the pressure and won the race with a 2-second advantage, secdond in the general classification. We were not the fastest LMP3 on the track, but equal and the fast pace presented by our drivers and flawless team work has enabled us to win the day. Only one round VdeV left. We will fight for the championship!
