After an annoying second place for Kuba Smiechowski and Pontus Fredricsson in the last race of the VdeV in Dijon and a frustrating seventh place for Paul Scheuschner, the Inter Europol Competition team is looking forward to another battle at Navarra (Spain) this Saturday (1 September). All five drivers will do their utmost to retain first and second place in the championship.

The six hour race will start late in the afternoon at 16.45 hrs and runs into the evening to finish at 22.45 hrs. The sun will set at 20.35 hrs.

In the #22 LMP3 Smiechowski and Fredricsson will be joined by Martin Hippe. Hippe is the regular teammate of Smiechowski in the European Le Mans Series. In the #33 Scheuschner is joined by young Swiss talent Moritz Müller-Crepon (21 years) who knows the team from when he raced with them in 2016 in the VeV at Estoril.

In the single seater category, Edward Jonasson will defend his third place in the championship in the team’s Formula Renault 2.0. He is only 13 points behind the number two and 37 points behind first. But with two races again this weekend, a lot can change.
