(English) Inter Europol Competition joins the new Prototype Cup Germany

25 marca 2022

Przepraszamy, ten wpis jest dostępny tylko w języku English.

In addition to racing in the Asian Le Mans Series, the WEC, and the ELMS in 2022, the Inter Europol Competition will run one LMP3 in the newly formed Prototype Cup Germany. Drivers are Damian Ciosek from Poland and British James Winslow.

?

The ADAC and Creventic launched this series with the official licensing from the ACO and is designed as national addition to the Michelin Le Mans Cup. The Prototype Cup Germany consists of two official test days and four races. Each race weekend has two 30-minutes free practice sessions, two 15-minutes qualifying, and two 60-minutes races with a mandatory pit stop.

?

Damian Ciosek: ?I came to this team as I think it?s one of the best teams in Europe for the LMP3. I saw how they worked in the Asian Le Mans Series, and I think we are a good fit. The best choice was the Prototype Cup Germany as it has the best tracks. Then I will also participate in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and do the Road to Le Mans. It has always been my dream to race at Le Mans, and it?s a good way to start to learn the track for the future. I have big plans, but for now, I will concentrate on getting a lot of experience and try to win the Prototype Cup.?

James Winslow: ?It?s great to be back at the Inter Europol Competition team after previous seasons, especially the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2019. The team has been performing well recently. I think Damian and I will be serious contenders together this season. I am looking forward to getting to the first event at Spa-Francorchamps in April.?

Sascha Fassbender (team manager): ?As a German, I am happy to see the prototypes finally arrive in Germany. The prototypes are not as well-known as the GT cars in Germany, as so many German manufacturers produce these.?
