Przepraszamy, ten wpis jest dostępny tylko w języku English.

What a year the first year in the World Endurance Championship and the first year with the Oreca 07 LMP2 it has been for the Inter Europol Competition team. It hasn?t been easy and it was a steep learning curve, but the team is extremely happy with the result. Especially the fifth place at Le Mans was the highlight of the year.??????????????????

?

In the 8 Hours of Bahrain, Renger van der Zande took the start and moved the #34 from 10th to 6th postition. Then for the entire race, all three drivers, Kuba Smiechowski, Alex Brundle and van der Zande, ran between fifth and eighth place. The last four hours in fifth position and that was the final result. ?

?

Kuba Smiechowski: ?The end of the race was rather stressful as we wanted to finish as high as possible. Whether we finished fifth or sixth wouldn?t really matter in the championship ranking. Obviously, I am pretty happy with what we have achieved as a team, and it is amazing for the first year with this car and in this championship that we never had any big issues. The whole team was on top of their game. It is all because of them that we have been able to achieve this result.?

Alex Brundle: ?Faultless reliability from the team. Good drive from Kuba today. He held his own against the pressure from behind. In my first stint, the car was very good and, I could keep the tires underneath me. But in my second stint, I really struggled with massive tire wear in the different conditions of the night. We will have to have a look at that. Overall I was happy with the excellent performance of the team.?

Renger van der Zande: ?We are proud of what we have done this year. We have been very reliable this whole season. We still lack some speed and we lose some time in the pits, but absolutely not bad for the first season and something to work on.?

?

Sascha Fassbender: ?It was a great team effort to finish where we did: fifth in the first year in the WEC and with our Oreca. We are very proud of what we have done so far, but we still need to do a lot more to get to the top. A big thank you to the whole team. We can start building on what we have learned this year.?
