The young Frenchman certainly hit the ground running here in Barcelona in what was a roller coaster of a race weekend.<\/p>\n<p>In a very tightly packed schedule, Romain had to get used to his new #7 race car, practice, qualify and compete in two races over the two days of running. It was impressive; second on the grid to first at the chequered flag was a sensational performance.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, post-race and after the winning and podium ceremonies, it was deemed that his pitstop mid-race was 0.029s under the minimum requirement. It was under safety car anyway, and no advantage was gained in reality, but rules are rules. +36 seconds to his race time, dropping him to ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Romain raced on, took the lead, and ultimately finished P1, 0.5s ahead of his nearest rival.
