Inter Europol Competition has enjoyed another busy period of international endurance racing, with victories, podium finishes and preparations for the second half of the 2026 season already well underway.
Back-to-back LMP2 victories in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Road America have strengthened the team’s title challenge in North America, while the European Le Mans Series reached Round 3 of its six-round season at Imola in July.
Away from the circuit, preparations continue for the upcoming 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series campaign following the announcement of the new calendar, while this edition also recognises the partners whose continued support plays a vital role in Inter Europol Competition’s success both on and off the track.

Inter Europol Competition continued its 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign with back-to-back LMP2 victories at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Road America. The two results have transformed the team’s championship position, moving the #43 into second place in the standings and firmly into the title fight with two rounds of the season remaining.

#43 LMP2
Jeremy Clarke began the weekend by securing LMP2 pole position, setting a new class lap record around Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in the process. Starting from the front of the field, Clarke delivered a controlled opening stint before handing the #43 Oreca 07 Gibson over to Tom Dillmann.
Dillmann maintained the #43’s position at the front through the second half of the race, with strategy and execution keeping the car at the head of the LMP2 field. He crossed the line to secure Inter Europol Competition’s first IMSA victory of the 2026 season, winning by 9.796 seconds and moving the team into second place in the championship standings.
The victory provided an important boost to the team’s championship challenge ahead of the six-hour endurance round at Road America three weeks later.

#43 LMP2
Jeremy Clarke, Bijoy Garg and Tom Dillmann delivered a second consecutive IMSA victory at Road America after an eventful six-hour race. Starting third in LMP2, Clarke immediately fought his way towards the front before handing the #43 to Garg in the lead.
A drive-through penalty later dropped the car down the order, but the team remained in contention and worked its way back towards the front. Dillmann took over for the closing stages, combining careful fuel management with the team’s strategy to put the #43 back into a position to challenge for victory.
The result completed back-to-back wins for Inter Europol Competition and further strengthened the team’s championship challenge. With two rounds remaining, the #43 sits second in the LMP2 standings, just 36 points behind the championship leaders.
European Le Mans Series
Inter Europol Competition returned to European Le Mans Series action at Imola for Round 3 of the six-round 2026 season. It proved to be a challenging weekend for the team, with penalties, contact and race incidents affecting all three entries and ultimately preventing the team from converting its potential into stronger results.

#34 LMP2
Bijoy Garg started the four-hour race in fourth and delivered an impressive opening stint, keeping the #34 firmly among the leading LMP2 contenders and running consistently inside the top five. Reshad de Gerus took over for the second half of the race, with the car remaining in contention as a series of Virtual Safety Car and Full Course Yellow periods interrupted the running.
With just 15 minutes remaining, a pit lane speeding infringement resulted in a stop-and-go penalty, dropping the #34 down the order and ultimately leaving Garg and de Gerus to finish P7.
#13 LMP3
Alex Bukhantsov, Jimmy Chou and Henry Cubides Olarte endured an eventful four hours in the #13. Contact during Bukhantsov’s opening stint resulted in a drive-through penalty, before further contact while Chou was behind the wheel caused damage to the right-rear of the car.
The team carried out repairs during the final driver change, but the additional time in the pits left Cubides Olarte with limited opportunity to recover positions during the closing stages. The #13 eventually crossed the line in P10, bringing a difficult afternoon at Imola to a close.
#43 LMP2
The weekend presented an additional challenge for the #43 after the team was required to change the chassis ahead of the race. The mechanics worked through the night to complete the change and ensure Kuba Smiechowski, Nick Yelloly and Tom Dillmann could take their place on the grid on Sunday.
Smiechowski made a steady start and had the #43 running sixth during the opening half of the race before a Full Course Yellow speeding infringement resulted in a 10-second penalty. Yelloly and Dillmann continued the recovery through the remaining stints, but the lost time ultimately left the #43 in P10 at the chequered flag.
Following a difficult Imola weekend, attention now turns to Spa-Francorchamps for Round 4 of the European Le Mans Series, where the team will look to return to the leading positions as the championship moves into its second half.
Looking Forward
With the second half of the 2026 season now underway, Inter Europol Competition turns its attention to another important period across its international racing programmes.
The team returns to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on 23 August for Round 4 of the six-round European Le Mans Series season, alongside the next round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup. With the #34 LMP2 entry third in the ELMS standings and the #13 LMP3 entry second, Spa represents an important opportunity to strengthen both championship challenges as the season enters its closing stages.
Attention will then shift to North America for the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the penultimate round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Following consecutive LMP2 victories at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Road America, Inter Europol Competition heads to Indianapolis second in the championship and just 36 points behind the leaders, with only two races remaining to decide the 2026 title.
Looking further ahead, preparations are beginning for the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series following the announcement that the championship will take place in Europe this season. Inter Europol Competition has enjoyed considerable success in the series in recent years and will be looking to build on that record when the new campaign gets underway later this year.

Championship Standings
Following another busy period of racing, Inter Europol Competition continues its campaigns across the European Le Mans Series, Michelin Le Mans Cup and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as the 2026 season enters its second half.
In ELMS LMP2, the #34 entry currently sits third in the championship standings following consecutive P2 finishes at Barcelona and Paul Ricard before a more challenging third round at Imola. With three of the six rounds still remaining, the #34 remains firmly involved in the championship fight as the series heads to Spa-Francorchamps for Round 4.
The sister #43 LMP2 entry currently holds seventh position in the ELMS standings. Although the opening three rounds have produced mixed results, the car has regularly been in contention for the leading positions, and the team will be looking to convert that potential into stronger finishes over the remaining three rounds.
In ELMS LMP3, the #13 entry sits second in the championship following a podium at the season opener in Barcelona and victory at Paul Ricard. Despite a difficult race at Imola, the crew remains firmly involved in the title battle with three rounds still to come, beginning with Round 4 at Spa-Francorchamps.
