Jakub\u00a0\u015amiechowski made a superb start from third on the grid, moving up to second on the opening lap before managing a demanding first stint.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1797\" data-start=\"1498\">The car slipped down the order early on but recovered strongly as Nick Yelloly delivered an impressive middle stint. A clean pit stop under safety car conditions helped the team climb back into contention, and Tom Dillmann handled the closing stages with precision to bring the car home in second.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1973\" data-start=\"1799\">The result confirmed second place in the 2025 LMP2 standings, sealing Vice Champion honours for the Polish team after a season of consistent podiums and front-running pace.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2048\" data-start=\"1980\"><strong>#88 LMP3 \u2013 Consistency Rewarded with Third in the Championship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2302\" data-start=\"2050\">The #88 Ligier of Tim Creswick, Reece Gold, and Douwe Dedecker endured a challenging but ultimately rewarding race at Portim\u00e3o. Tim started from fourth and showed competitive pace before early contact with an LMP2 car dropped the team down the order.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2669\" data-start=\"2304\">Tim recovered before handing over to Reece, who delivered a steady middle stint to move back up the field. Douwe completed the race with a consistent and confident drive, bringing the car home fifth at the flag. The result secured third place in the 2025 LMP3 championship, a well-earned reward for the crew\u2019s season-long pace and reliability.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2737\" data-start=\"2676\"><strong>#34 LMP2 \u2013 Strong Performance Halted by Technical Issue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"3009\" data-start=\"2739\">The #34 entry of Luca Ghiotto, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer, and Pedro Perino showed strong potential after starting tenth. Luca made early progress through the field, demonstrating the car\u2019s pace as he climbed to sixth before handing over to JB, who maintained the forward momentum.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"3297\" data-start=\"3011\">Pedro took over for the final part of the race, but unfortunately, a technical issue in the final hour forced the car to retire. Despite the setback, the #34 crew showed strong pace and teamwork throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>To close the season, the team came together for a dinner in Portim\u00e3o on Saturday evening \u2014 a fitting way to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and spirit that defined Inter Europol Competition\u2019s 2025 European Le Mans Series campaign. Attention now turns to preparations for 2026, as the team aims to build on this year\u2019s achievements and return to the championship fight even stronger.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"3297\" data-start=\"3011\"><strong><em>Team Quotes<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sascha Fassbender &#8211; Team Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"359\" data-start=\"62\">&#8220;Looking back on this season in the ELMS, I am filled with pride and gratitude for what our team has accomplished. Each race was a testament to our dedication, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence. From the challenging early races to the final rounds, we faced every obstacle with resilience and an unwavering focus on improvement. Our performances on the track showed steady progress, and the camaraderie and passion within the team drove us to push our limits. This season has been a fantastic journey of growth, learning, and memorable moments, and I am excited to carry this momentum forward into the future.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"3297\" data-start=\"3011\">#43<br \/>\n<strong>Jakub \u015amiechowski<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8220;So in general we had a pretty good season. We had five P2 finishes in ELMS and we won Le Mans, so I don\u2019t think it\u2019s anything to be ashamed of. We couldn\u2019t seal the deal in the ELMS championship, but hopefully we can come back next year even stronger and fight for the win.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tom Dillmann<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8220;Overall it\u2019s been a great season \u2014 ten podiums in total, five in ELMS, and winning Le Mans, which is the biggest achievement in LMP2. We achieved that, and winning Sebring for me as well makes it even more special. It\u2019s been an amazing season; thank you to the team and everyone involved, they all did a great job. We\u2019ll come back next year in ELMS to fight for the championship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nick Yelloly\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8220;Five podiums in ELMS, and to win Le Mans overall in LMP2 is a fantastic memory that I \u2014 and we all \u2014 will hold for the rest of our lives. Yes, we came very close; we finished P2 in the ELMS championship and were right in the fight. Hopefully next year we can come back and take that title. A big thanks to the team \u2014 everyone has worked really hard all year to get us to the front each weekend.
