For the first time in 30 years, engines roared again in 2017 on the historical airfield at Kassel-Calden (Germany) where from 1971 to 1987 race championships took place such as the Interseries or the DTM predecessor series DRM. This year 340 drivers will present their beautiful historical cars from different makes like Porsche, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Lola and Lotus. The Inter Europol Competition team will mix their new race cars with these old and do a few quick laps in two different cars on the 2,6 kilometer circuit which includes the old runway.<\/p>\n

Not only will the team show a GP2 from 2011 with 630 HP but also show one of their Ligier JS P3 cars with about 420 hp. “The car comes directly from Silverstone,” says team director Michael Keese. “We are goint to do a few demo laps,” he adds in an interview with the organisers. \u201cThat will be a nice in contrast with the old-timers.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the first free practice session on Friday, 24th August, from 3.30 to 7 pm, the teams will start at presentation runs on Saturday and Sunday from 8.30 am.
