The team has bought a Ligier LMP2 and will be looking at racing in the 2019 season of the European Le Mans Series. The team will also continue racing with their LMP3.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Three years ago, the team started racing with the Ligier LMP3. In choosing again for a Ligier, the team is staying with the same partner as it has worked very well over the last three years. Not only did the Inter Europol Competition team win the VdeV in 2016 and 2017 but moved from 12<sup>th<\/sup>in 2016 to fifth in 2017 in the European Le Mans Series. In 2019 the team will continue to run the LMP3 but will have a separate team looking after the LMP2. This year the team added the Asian Le Mans Series to their already busy challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This weekend (22 \u2013 23 September) the team will be at Spa with the European Le Mans Series. The LMP3 #13 will see regular teammates Kuba Smiechowski and Martin Hippe driving. In the #14 LMP3 Paul Scheuschner and Luca Demarchi will be joined by young Swiss driver Moritz M\u00fcller-Crepon, who also joined the team a couple of weeks ago at Navarra with the VdeV.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Keese, Team Director<\/strong>: \u201cWe have been successfully racing with the LMP3 over the last three years and are now ready to move up in the LMP world and will join the big league. We know it will be a steep learning curve and it will be tough. With running both the LMP3 and the LMP2 we can offer drivers the opportunity to grow to the next level in the sport within the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacques Nicolet, CEO of Onroak Automotive<\/strong>: \u201cInter Europol Competition has been with Ligier in the LMP3 category since 2016, both in European Le Mans Series and VdeV Endurance Series. The team placed Ligier on top of the LMP3 charts by winning the LMP3 title in VdeV Endurance Series in 2016 and 2017.
