Sixth after 6 hours

22 August 2021

In the rain and behind the safety car, Alex Brundle took the start of the 2021 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He kept his head down and after one hour had moved from 17th to 8th. Brundle stayed in the car for three stints and then Renger van der Zande took over for the next three stints.  After six hours, the #34 Inter Europol Competition is in 6th place in LMP2 and 10th overall.

Alex Brundle: “As the track improves, so do we. Finally, we are getting some rubber on the circuit to help our balance.”

Renger van der Zande: “It is not easy out there. We lack a bit in consistency, and we have to improve our third stint. It’s hard on the tires.”
