- Team now fully focused on converting strong Roar preparation into success in LMP2 class
Inter Europol Competition heads into the 2026 Rolex 24 At Daytona after completing an intensive and productive Roar Before the 24 test programme with its two-car LMP2 entry.
Across seven sessions on the 3.56-mile Daytona International Speedway road course, the Polish squad gathered key data and ran long stints with both the #43 and #343 ORECA LMP2 cars ahead of this weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship opener.
Car #43 showed strong underlying pace throughout the Roar while focusing heavily on race-run consistency and tyre evaluation. The Dillmann / Clarke / Garg / Félix da Costa combination completed a comprehensive programme that leaves the team confident heading into the 24-hour race.
The #343 entry also delivered a competitive and structured test, allowing Smiechowski, Kolovos, Cassidy and Siegel to build rhythm together while working through longer runs to prepare for traffic and night conditions.
Both cars completed well over 250 laps combined across the event, enabling engineers to finalise baseline setups ahead of the demanding twice-around-the-clock challenge.
With strong preparation and two competitive driver line-ups, Inter Europol Competition now turns its attention fully to this weekend’s Rolex 24 At Daytona, aiming to fight at the front in LMP2 and open its 2026 IMSA campaign in style.
Track action for the Rolex 24 At Daytona begins on Thursday with the opening practice sessions and qualifying starting at 10:05 local time (16:05 CET), before the 24-hour race starts on Saturday at 13:40 local time (19:40 CET).
Driver reflections after the ‘Roar Before the 24’
Tom Dillmann #43
“The test went smoothly. We worked a lot across the two cars to gain as much information as possible, and now we can work on optimizing for the race weekend.”
Jeremy Clarke #43
“We are looking very strong during the Roar and excited to continue the momentum into this weekend with a good qualifying showing on Thursday. The team is working tirelessly to give us the best car possible, and it’s time to execute and fight for the win.”
Bijoy Garg #43
‘We have had a productive Roar, and I am feeling pretty confident about the race this week. We were one of the cars to beat last year, and the team has had a year to adapt to the quirks and challenges of IMSA, so we expect to be stronger this year. After the offseason, it felt good to be back in the car and with the team. Looking forward to the race!”
Nick Cassidy #343
“The Roar test weekend has been very positive, and we’re happy with the preparation we’ve completed. The team has done a great job, and the car has been feeling strong, which gives us confidence heading into the Daytona 24 Hour race.”
Nolan Siegel #343
“We have had a very successful weekend at the Roar. The car is fast, we’ve been consistently at the front in pace, and it’s exciting to go into the race weekend feeling like we’re fighting for the win. We’ll keep working and improving to keep up the pace for 24 hours. We’re going to be one of the cars to beat!”
Georgios Kolovos #343
“Very strong performances from all drivers and a very strong package during the Roar.
Looking forward to next week’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with confidence that a strong result is within our grasp.”
