Motorland Aragon VdeV (Spain)

4 July 2016

Last weekend our team visited Motorland Aragon for the next round of VdeV Endurance Series. Martin Hippe and Jakub Śmiechowski once again took the wheel of our Ligier LMP3. It was a new track for all of us. But that didn’t stop our drivers from claiming pole position in the LMP3 class and third place overall. Temperatures reached almost 40 degrees Celcius and we had some doubts about how the car will react for such harsh circumstances during the four hour race. Like always this year Kuba was the first one to drive. Everything went fine and he managed to hold onto his position. After one hour he came in for refueling and rejoined the track quickly. Two hours before the end his stint ended and it was Martin’s turn to drive. He had a great run and we finished second overall and first in LMP3 with 3 laps advantage over the next crew. From our point of view it was the best race this year. Still, we were unable to fight with the overall winner due to his advantage in power and downforce. In two weeks it’s time for the third round of ELMS. We hope to keep up this good streak!
